The Darke County Animal Shelter has 3 new dogs waiting for their fur-ever homes.
All dogs were given Bordatella, parvo/lepto/distemper vaccines, are dewormed and are heartworm negative. All dogs are microchipped.
The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville OH. 45331. The visiting hours are Monday- Friday 8am- 11:45am and 1pm- 4pm. You can reach the Shelter at 937-547-1645.

She came to us as a stray, so while her past is a mystery, her personality has shined bright during her time here at the shelter. Penny has shown us just how affectionate, and playful she can be. She already knows how to sit, loves to chase after a ball, and is always happy to accept a treat or two (or three!). She’s still getting the hang of leash walking, but she’s making steady progress. Penny doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. More than anything, she’s looking for a peaceful, patient home where she can continue to blossom and feel safe, secure, and loved. We believe this beautiful girl is a 6-month-old female Corgi/Dachshund mix with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. Molly came to us as a stray, so we don’t know much about her past but her future is looking bright! She’s quickly become a staff favorite thanks to her playful spirit, affectionate nature, and that irresistible face. Molly loves the simple joys in life: eating, napping, playing ball, and soaking up all the love and attention she can get. She’s curious and friendly girl. She doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion with a playful heart, Molly might just be your perfect match. Maple came to us as a stray, so we don’t know much about her past but it’s clear she’s ready to build a bright and loving future. Maple is the total package: full of charm, energy, and endless cuddles. She loves to eat, sleep, play, and soak up every bit of attention you’re willing to give. Whether she’s chasing toys with a wagging tail or curling up beside you for a nap, Maple brings joy wherever she goes. With her affectionate nature and irresistible face, it’s impossible not to fall in love. Maple is more than ready to find her forever home .
