On Monday, November 3rd from 6:00-7:30PM, we will be hosting a craft for ages 13 and up to create a felt pumpkin pie garland in time to decorate for Thanksgiving. There is a limited number of supplies, so please sign up at the front desk by phone (937.692.8484) or in person.
At 1:30PM on Tuesday, November 4th The Ohio State Extension Office of Darke County will be visiting the Library to provide a program on preparing your garden and homestead for winter. We look forward to learning best practices in getting the most out of the garden heading into winter months, preparing the garden for winter for better production in the spring, caring for livestock during colder months, as well as best practices for your winter egg production. This is welcome to all, and we hope this will be a wonderful opportunity for those in the community and surrounding areas to join us.
Monday, November 10th from 6:00-7:30PM will be our Community Euchre Night at the Library. This event is welcome to drop in for, or you may also sign up at the front desk if you’d like to help us plan ahead. These evenings have been great opportunities for those within the community to connect through playing cards and enjoy an evening of fun. Anyone able to play is welcome to join us.
Storytime will continue on Thursdays at 10:00AM, as will our After School Program on Thursdays. The After School Program is from 2:45-3:45PM for Middle School Students and 3:45-4:45PM for Elementary Students.
We will be closed in observance of celebrating Thanksgiving on November 27th, but we look forward to seeing you back on Friday, November 28th during regular business hours.
The new gazebo on our front lawn in progress will be a wonderful addition to our patrons and the community.
