DECEMBER 1, 1931 – JANUARY 5, 2023
Alice C. Hart age 91, of Greenville passed away at 7:19 am Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.
Alice was born December 1, 1931, in Darke County to the late Hubert A. & Rosella (Shelly) Wogoman. Alice was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth C. Hart on June 22, 2002, whom she married August 5, 1950; brother, Harold Wogomon; and sister, Anna Edwards.
Alice is survived by her children, Eugene & Patricia Hart of Springfield, Carol & Dale Magato of Troy and Kay & Jeff Cress of Greenville; grandchildren, Michael & Betsy Magato, Jodi Magato-Rice, John & Randi Hart and Jackie & Dennis Dahlberg; 10 great-grandchildren; sister & brother-in-law, Esther & Jim Weiss of Pitsburg; and sister-in-law, Rosella & John Glessner of Greenville.
Alice along with her late husband, Kenneth owned and operated various rental properties. She attended Pleasant View Missionary Church. Alice volunteered at Community Unity, Grace Resurrection Community Center, Darke County Youth for Christ, and Darke County Citizens Circle Mentoring Program. Alice knitted hundreds of hats for various missions.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Dr. Fred Bernhard officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
