Nancy Lee Blankenship, age 56 of Arcanum, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, February 9, 2023, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Dayton, Ohio on July 23, 1966, she was daughter to Robert & Carol (Smith) Preston. Nancy graduated from Arcanum High School, class of 1984. She married Matt Blankenship on September 12, 1992, and together they raised three children. She was a loving stay-at-home mother and grandmother, gave back to her community by volunteering at the school as a teacher’s aide, and enjoyed supporting her children as a “band mom” over the years. Nancy liked collecting antiques, reading romance novels, watching murder mysteries, and striking up conversations with anyone and everyone. Her life was devoted to her family, and she will be truly missed.
Survived by her parents, Robert & Carol Preston; husband of 30 years, Matt Blankenship; children Andrew Ross, Emily Ross, and David Blankenship; grandchildren Kenton, Avianna, Adelline, Tauren, Deacon; siblings Mike Preston & Debra Parsow, Brian & Angie Preston, Mark Preston; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on the family from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville. Memorial Service to follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Todd Reish presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to the Darke County Cancer Association.
