Harold L. Kingrey, 84, of Covington, passed away Saturday afternoon, February 11, 2023, at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. He was born December 5, 1938, in Tipp City, to the late Shirley and Mary (Wright) Kingrey. Harold married Ruby E. (Martin) Kingrey, a marriage which spanned 51 years; she preceded him in death on February 22, 2011.
He will be missed and remembered by his four children, Matthew Kingrey (fiancée Diane Long) of Greenville, Beth Marshall (Fred Deats) of Piqua, Jason (Ivette) Kingrey of Woodbridge, Va., and Katie (Dan) Sigley of Elkins, W.Va.; ten grandchildren, Abby (Kory) Thomas, Chad (Hannah) Kingrey, Meredith & Madeline Marshall, Wesley, Matthew & Gabby Kingrey, Chelsea Branson, Lily & Isaiah Sigley; seven great-grandchildren, Riley, Emily, Lydia, Emery, Gloria, Esther & George; two brothers, Sam (Cara) Kingrey and Wes (Sandy) Kingrey, all of Troy. He was preceded in death by siblings Charles, Shirley Jr. & Howard Kingrey and Virginia Baxley.
Harold was a 1958 graduate of Miami Central High School and served in the Ohio National Guard. He retired from Hobart Brothers after many years of service and then worked for SK Mold & Tool. He was a member of Cove Spring Church of Troy and enjoyed bowling. Harold also enjoyed sports and watching his children, and later grandchildren, in their sporting events. He was devoted to his family and took immense pride in all their accomplishments.
Funeral services to honor his life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 18, at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
