Prepare for spring by signing up for a free Healthy Living workshop! The agency offers phone discussion groups and in-person workshops starting in March and early April. Sign up with friends or make new ones through the workshops!

The Agency offers three different topics that meet weekly for six weeks. Each session discusses new information so no worries if you miss a week. Materials are provided for free (mailed directly to your home if registered for a phone group). Note that no internet or smartphone is required for the phone groups – just call in and learn new things!

Healthy Living are 6-week workshops proven to improve health and well-being for people living with long-term/chronic health conditions. You set your own goals, your own priorities, and follow your own timeline week-by-week to find what steps work best for you. Three effective, evidence-based programs developed by the Self-Management Resource Center are offered:

Aging Mastery Program consists of 10 sessions featuring subject experts focusing on various facets of health, economic security, volunteering, personal relationships and more. This is currently offered at two contracted sites: East End Community Center and United Senior Services.

The Agency contracts with Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley to offer Matter of Balance that emphasizes practical strategies to manage falls and increase activity levels. This program is also offered through the Preble County Council on Aging.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a six-week workshop for family caregivers to learn how to care for themselves while caring for others.
