
GREENVILLE – On November 13th, 2025, an officer with the Greenville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation. During the traffic stop, criminal indicators were observed, and K9 Atz was deployed for a free air sniff, which resulted in a positive alert for the presence of the odor of illegal narcotics in the vehicle.
As a result, a substantial amount of methamphetamine and other illegal drugs were located inside the vehicle. Jeremiah Rains of Union City, Indiana, was arrested and booked in the Darke County Jail on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a felony of the 2nd degree.
This investigation remains under investigation by the Greenville Police Department.
