Trash/Dumping

April 4

On April 04, 2023 at approximately 2:51 PM police responded to 316 Warren Street reference a trash complaint. Upon arrival police observed a large pile of trash in the backyard of the residence off the alley, including: A television, a dresser, a couch, a mattress, paint cans, and loose trash spread throughout the yard. All of the listed items are junk items. After getting no answer a the door, police placed a trash notice at the residence and will follow up at the residence to ensure the trash is cleaned up. Police sent an email to the safety service director advising him of the incident.

Domestic Violence

April 6

On April 6, 2023 at approximately 2:34 PM P.O. was dispatched to 312 Victoria Drive in reference to a reported domestic violence. Upon his arrival P.O. observed a Sgt. speaking with Mason Perkins as he was parked in the driveway in the listed black 2016 Ford Mustang. P.O. spoke with Raymond Perkins who was standing on the front porch of the residence. Mason is Raymond’s son and they reside together at the residence. Raymond and Mason had gotten into an argument over family issues. Raymond stated that during the argument he told Mason to leave. Both Raymond and Mason denied striking or being struck by each other and reported no injuries. There were no apparent observable injuries to either Raymond or Mason. Mason left the residence in the listed vehicle. BCI only; no school age children present.

April 9

On April 9, 2023 at approximately 12:08 AM police was dispatched to 5436 State Route 49; Stardust Motel room 103 reference a domestic complaint. BCI only between Carlain Guthrie and Lenton Tucker. Carlain stated that she got into a verbal argument with her live in boyfriend Lenton Tucker over the relationship issues. Police attempted to make contact with Lenton at room 103. Lenton opened the door to the room and then quickly shut the door. Lenton then would only speak to the police through the door. Lenton stated that the argument was over relationship issues between Carlain and him. Both subjects stayed at room 103 for the rest of the night. There was one school aged child present during the incident.

April 10

This disturbance was called in by India Broadwater’s grandmother, Sandra Rich. Upon arrival, police met with India Broadwater on the front porch. Broadwater was visibly upset and crying. She stated she was in the process of breaking up with her boyfriend, Corbin Wise, who lived with her and had one infant in common. Broadwater stated Wise smashed the glass in her coffee table causing it to shatter. Broadwater denied any physical violence. Wise was gathering his belongs to leave for the evening and was rude to Broadwater and officer. Broadwater was advised to obtain a CPO in the morning. Corbin left for the evening. BCI. Two school age children present.

Welfare Check

April 7

On April 7th, 2023 at approximately 6:50 PM police was dispatched to 1350 Benden Way Apt. C5 on a Welfare Check. Entry was made into the residence and the subject was located deceased. Greenville Township Rescue was called to the scene and confirmed the death.Detective Dickmann was contacted but unavailable to respond to the scene. Coroner’s Investigator Joe Vanvickle was contacted and arrived on scene. After Coroner’s Investigator Vanvickle spoke to the family, the decedent was released to Riechert Funeral Home.

Theft

April 8

On April 8, 2023 at approximately 1:31 PM Police was dispatched to 122 West Main Street, Greenville Police Department in reference to a theft not in progress. Upon arrival police spoke with the victim; Daniel Hite who stated that money had been taken from his wallet. Daniel stated that he lost his wallet on April 5, 2023 between 8:00AM-10:00AM while he was at 1370 Kitchen Aid Way, Snap Fitness. Daniel stated his wallet was returned to him by an employee of Snap Fitness but it was missing $310 in cash that had been in the wallet before it was lost. Daniel stated that the money was the only item missing from the wallet. Daniel stated that Snap Fitness was unable to locate any video footage of who took the money. At approximately 1:57 PM police went to 1370 Kitchen Aid way, Snap Fitness to make contact with an employee in an attempt to find a suspect for the theft. Police was told by a customer of the business that all employees had left for the day and wouldn’t be back until Monday morning. Police will check back later to attempt to obtain a suspect for the theft. Police contacted Daniel and notified him of the timeline since police was unable to contact an employee at Snap Fitness.

Dog Bite

April 9

On April 9th, 2023 at approximately 8:27 PM police was dispatched to 538 E. Third Street, in the City of Greenville, in reference to a dog bite. When police arrived police was met by Bradly O’Donnell who resides at 532 E. Third Street. Bradly took police around to the back of 538 E. Third Street where police observed a female sitting down on the ground next a fence, with another female, on the other side of the fence, holding a towel to her face. The female sitting on the ground identified herself as Frances Stocker. Frances immediately stated she did not want anything done to the dog and that it was not the dog’s fault. Police observed Frances to be bleeding on her right cheek and her right arm. Bradly and the female who had been holding the towel on Frances’ face, identified as Christina Bettelon, stated they were in their backyard of 532 E. Third Street. Frances was in her backyard of 538 E. Third Street. The backyards are separated by a metal fence, approximately 3-3 1/2 feet tall. Bradley and Christina stated they were talking to Frances and had their dog, Tucker, on a leash. Tucker slipped out of his collar and jumped up at the fence, biting Frances in the face. They stated they believed her arm was cut when she fell. Police checked Tucker’s dog license and found license #01156 for 2022 registered under Bradly, but did not see a 2023 dog license. Frances had been transported to Wayne Hospital by Greenville Township Rescue. Police met with Frances there and asked if she wanted charges filed for the dog biting her, she was adamant she did not. Bradly and Christina were advised this report will be forwarded to the dog warden.

Forgery/Fake Currency

April 10

On April 10th 2023 at approximately 2:13 PM police was dispatched to Greenville Police Department, 122 West Main Street reference fake currency found in the Walmart parking lot. Upon arrival police made contact with Sheryl Lavy who advised she found a replica of a 10 dollar bill by her vehicle in the Walmart parking lot, 1501 Wagner avenue between 7:15AM and 7:30AM. Sheryl advised she waited several hours to report it because she was unsure to rather throw it away or report it. The listed item was placed in property in case further reports are made with replica U.S. currency used in transactions.

Warrant/Fugitive from Justice

April 12

On April 12, 2023 at approximately 6:56 PM police responded to 1112 Jackson Street to serve a felony warrant on Bryant Barnes. Police had prior knowledge that Bryant has a Felony warrant through the Adams County Indiana Sheriffs Office for Child Neglect with no bond. Police made contact with Bryant at the listed address. Bryant was placed under arrest into handcuffs. Dispatch confirmed the warrant. Bryant was then transported to the Darke County Jail where he was released to jail staff.
