Jerry J. Riffell, 75, of Ansonia, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Wayne Health Care in Greenville, Ohio.
He was born on September 16, 1947, in Greenville, to the late Russell and Jackie (Warner) Riffell.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Louie Maloy, Gary Ungericht, Terry Ungericht; and his sister-in-law, Sis Prashun
Jerry was a 1966 graduate of Ansonia High School. After high school he worked for Westinghouse and then did auto body repair for several years. He also worked for Moody’s Auto Sales. Jerry was a member of the Sons of the American Legion 353 in Ansonia. He will be remembered for being ornery and enjoyed playing a good joke. Jerry could often be found playing cards with family and friends as he loved people, especially his grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 45 years, “Bill” Brenda (Undericht) Riffell; his sons, Jeremiah “JJ” (Christina) Rifffell of Versailles, Ohio, and Kris (Melikka) Riffell of Ansonia; his grandchildren, Dylan and Gavin Riffell, DJ and Yukhan Riffell and Madison, Landyn and Alexis Pace; his sister, Sharon Maloy; his brother, Rick (Darlene) Riffell; his sisters-in-law, Connie Marker and Carol Ungericht; and his brother-in-law, Ray Prashuhn.
A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at the Ansonia American Legion. The family requests you come with a covered dish and a story about Jerry.
Memorial contributions may be given to the funeral home to help offset the cost of the services.
