Darke County GOP held Lincoln Dinner

On May 1, the Darke County GOP held their traditional annual Lincoln Dinner at Romer’s Catering.

The evening was started by Chairman Katie DeLand welcoming the guests, Jim Buchy offering a prayer and the Post #140 Honor Guard presenting the Colors.

Tina Mescher and Abby Koons from Versailes led the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem was performed by Mora Menzie from the Arcanum High School.

After Dinner Bernie Moreno, who will run in 2024 for the US Senate, addressed the audience and talked about the importance of the Senate-race, not just for Ohio but also for the Nation.

Alex Triantafilou, Chairman of the Ohio GOP, introduced the featured speaker, Vivek Ramaswamy, who wants to run for U.S. President. Ramaswamy is a business man and author from Ohio, graduate from Harvard and received his J.D. from Yale.. He talked about his vision of America, based on the principles on which this Nation was built.

Finally, Matt Huffman and Keith Faber took the stage and talked about the issue of the “Abortion-Amendment” and the fact that Ohio is one of the States that makes it very easy to make changes to the Constitution and it would not be possible to make corrections if it turns out to be a bad decision.
