Norma Jean Schilling age 89, of Greenville passed away at 12:15 am Sunday, May 14, 2023.
Norma was born March 31, 1934, in Jaysville to the late Robert “Toots” & Marie (Whittaker) Garbig. Norma was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Schilling.
Norma is survived by her children, Rick & Irene Schilling of Fenton, Missouri, Susan & Ron Riegle of Greenville, Robert & Kay Schilling of Dayton, and Gregory Schilling of Troy; grandchildren, Michelle (Doug) Rogers, Timothy Riegle, Angela (John Flocke) Stebbins, Jason (Mindy) Stebbins, Tami (Kent) Martin, Nathan (Nikki) Schilling, Aimee (Tim) Smith, Emilie (Chuck) Edwards, Ben (Ashley) Schilling, Alex (Andy) Schilling, Jamin Schilling, Olivia Schilling and Grace Schilling; and numerous great grandchildren.
Norma was a 1951 graduate of Greenville High School. Norma was a homemaker. After raising her children, she became a travel agent. Norma was a volunteer for many years at The Garst Museum. She was a member of the Greenville Elks and Greenville Moose. She enjoyed traveling, world history and was an avid NASCAR fan.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Alan Knoke officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to The Garst Museum 205 North Broadway, Greenville, OH 45331.
