Rusty Wesley Wehrley age 52, of Greenville passed away at 2:32 pm Thursday, May 11, 2023, at his residence.
Rusty was born February 27, 1971, in Greenville to Veda (Neff) Reiplinger of Greenville and the late Roger Raymond Wehrley. In addition to his father, Rusty was also preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Lloyd Wehrley.
In addition to his mother, Rusty is survived by his siblings, John Bentley (Nicole) Sonner of St. Henry, Tim Sonner of Columbus, Angela Carter of Baytown, Texas and Terri Wehrley-Pyles of Greenville; cousin and good friend, Chris (Stephanie) Barringer of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rusty was a 1989 graduate of Greenville High School. Rusty did construction work and formerly had a tree trimming service. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, RC Cars, videos and doing handyman projects. Rusty was a kindhearted person that would go out of his way to help anyone out.
A celebration of Rusty’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Dr. Fred Bernhard officiating. Burial will follow in Gettysburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
