On May 23, 2023, the Greenville Police Department arrested Shawn Fiste, 34, of Greenville for Importuning, a felony of the fifth degree.
Fiste had been communicating with a law enforcement officer online and made arrangements to meet with who he believed was a 15 year old female to engage in sexual activity. Fiste was incarcerated at the Darke County Jail.
The Greenville Police Department takes these types of crimes seriously and will continue to monitor social media for similar activity.
