We recognize those who served and returned home, those who are no longer among us, as well as their families, who endured untold sacrifices in supporting their service.”
Present Subler family members were: Barbara Niekamp, Mary Sterling, Joan Stover, David Subler, and Gene Subler. Each one of them was presented with a certificate and a pin.
Weaver thanked the family for being an enduring inspiration and example of duty, valor, honor, and dignity for the citizens of the United States of America.
In honor of Gerald Subler, the Colors were presented by the Darke County Honor Guard, as well as played Taps and a gun salute.
