The Darke County Summer Stampede Rodeo with the Food Truck Rally and the Crafts Show drew a big crowd – but not until later in the afternoon, closer to the start of the rodeo.
The food trucks offered a variety of food and the vendors of the craft show presented great items for sale. In the Gazebo, Noah Back, Spittin’ Image and the Greene De Villes entertained the visitors. Pony rides and birds delighted the kids, so there was something for everyone – a true family event!
The rodeo show, presented by the award winning 3-J Ranch & Rodeo from Union City, IN, featured eight events including bareback, saddle bronc riding, team roping, tie-down roping, cowgirls barrel racing, steer wrestling, breakaway roping and bull riding with professional rodeo contestants from all over the USA including our own neighborhood, Canada and Australia. In addition, rodeo clowns and an incredibly talented lasso spinner entertained the crowd.
The rodeo was double sanctioned with the IPRA (International Professional Rodeo Association) & the MSRA (Mid-States Rodeo Association)
