
On Friday, December 5th, Rhylan Broerman and Monica Evers competed in the overall State FFA Job Interview Contest at the Ohio FFA Center in Columbus, Ohio.
The contest featured the 1st place state winners from each division which included freshman,
sophomore, junior, senior and first time junior/senior divisions to determine who will represent Ohio FFA at the National FFA Job Interview contest in 2026. Rhylan Broerman represented the junior contest by placing 1st in the state on Nov 22nd and Monica Evers represented the sophomore division by placing 1st in state on Nov 22nd.
The job interview career development events is designed to assist FFA members in the development of oral skills with the job application and interview process. Students had to create a resume and cover letter, fill out a job application pertaining to a specific agricultural job, complete an interview, phone interview and write a follow up thank you email letter in a timed session.
As a result of Friday, Dec 5th final contest Rhylan Broerman placed 1st overall in the state and will represent Ohio in the National FFA Job Interview Contest in 2026. Monica Evers placed 3rd overall in the state.
Congratulations to Rhylan and Monica and good luck to Rhylan will compete at the 2026 National FFA Convention. Rhylan is the daughter of Nick and Amber Broerman and Monica is the daughter of Tom and Stephaine Evers both of Yorkshire, Ohio. A special thank you to Elizabeth Coons, Josie Jennings, Matt Aultman, Daniel Schroer, Dr Ruhenkamp, Jake Broering, Paige Gehret, Olivia Schmitmeyer, Denise Elsas, Sam Custer, Amy Hoying, Laura Wuebker, David Harmon, Beth Simons and Jacki Stonebraker for helping prepare these members for the FFA Job Interview Contest this school year.
