Bonita L. Koesters, age 75 of Ansonia, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at her home. Born in Celina, Ohio on March 2, 1948 she was a daughter to the late Robert & Marcella (Lechner) Abels. Bonita was a graduate of Coldwater High School, class of 1966. Bonita went on to work for Superior Silo in Coldwater, Ohio for 25 years as an Office Manager, and was also a wonderful homemaker and caregiver. She enjoyed going bowling, reading, playing Chinese checkers and admiring cardinals. Bonita was a kind and caring person who loved her family deeply. She will be truly missed. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Robert F. Koesters in 2020: grandson Grant Koesters.
Survived by her children Jill & Travis Beam; Tony & Emily Koesters; Ken Koesters: grandchildren Trevor & Makayla Beam; Peyton Beam; Wyatt Beam; Mae Koesters; Joseph Koesters: great-granddaughter Layla Beam: brothers Ron & Gretchen Abels; Wayne & Linda Abels; Mark & Marlene Abels: as well as nieces, nephews and additional family members.
Friends may call on the family on Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenville with Fr. Matt Feist presiding. Burial to follow at St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery, Carthagena, Ohio. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or Greenville public library.
