Carolyn Graham

Z. Carolyn Graham, 79, of Greenville, Ohio, went home to join her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, in Bloomington, Indiana.

She was born on April 18, 1944, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late John and Miriam (Jay) Harry.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her second husband, Charlie Ward; her daughter Anna Winnie; and her siblings, Sandra Reed and Ivan Harry.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Harold F. Graham, Jr., whom she married on October 18, 2009; her children Scott (Twila) Harper of Kimmell, Indiana, and Chris (Jodi) Harper of Decatur, Indiana; her grandchildren, Dacey (Chase) McNall of Albion, Indiana, Tristin (Steve) Hobart of Kimmell, Indiana, John (Kristin) Harper of Columbia City, Indiana, Sarah Miles of Wolcottville, Indiana, Heather (Tom) Weyant of Rochester, Indiana, Stacey Weyant of Rochester, Indiana, and Joshua (Amanda) Weyant of Rochester, Indiana; her 15 great grandchildren; her siblings, Marilyn (Norman) Bridenbaugh of Arcanum, Ohio, and Sharon (Tom) Bercot of Troy, Ohio; her first husband, Paul Harper of Pitsburg, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was a 1962 graduate of West Milton High School. She worked as a nurse’s aid and then Hobart Brothers, until she retired after 25 years. Carolyn also sold Avon and Mary Kay for numerous years. She was a faithful follower of Christ and was an active member of EUM Church in Greenville. Carolyn was a founding member of the Mat Ministry, where she reused old plastic grocery bags and turned them into plarn and created sleeping mats and other items for the homeless. She was also a apart of EUM’s B-E-R-R-Y Caring Ministry, where she helped make teddy bears for newborns in the hospital. Carolyn was also a 25-year volunteer for the St. Mary’s Koinonia.

In her free time, Carolyn enjoyed going swimming, camping, tending to her flower garden, and hosting family gatherings. She was also known for her frequent mission trips to Guatemala. Carolyn is also survived by her beloved dog, Chelsea.

A celebration of Carolyn’s life will take place at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus. Burial will follow in Mote Cemetery.

Guests may visit with Carolyn’s family on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
