Schondelmyer, Barbara J., age 80, of Arcanum, formerly of Clayton, passed away on Wed. August 9, 2023 due to complications related to illness.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Peters and brother, Richard Peters.
She is survived by her husband, Phillip Schondelmyer; sister, Patricia (Patty) Yensel; her beloved children, Jill Schondelmyer, Joy Campbell (Juan), Jenifer Schondelmyer, Jason Schondelmyer (Amy); her grandchildren Justin, Sara, Emily, Jesse, Joshua, Miranda, Josiah, Bryce, Brody, and scores of special friends.
Barbara found happiness in her family, friends, her work, and her dog, Peanut. She retired from the Ohio Dept. of Job & Family Services where she enjoyed helping others through civil service. She previously worked at Northmont High School, volunteered at Children’s Hospital, and even attended floral arrangement school. She loved sports and music; especially when her talented children and grandchildren were involved.
