The Darke County Animal Shelter has 2 new dogs available for adoption.

They got the Bordatella and Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines and are heartworm negative, dewormed and microchipped.

The Shelter’s visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. Saturday only by appointment. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331 and you can reach them at 937-547-1645.

Rayne came to us as an owner surrender due to no fault of her own. We are told Rayne is a 7 1/2-year-old spayed female Chow/ Labrador Retriever Mix. Rayne’s owner told us that Rayne loves kids of all ages, great with cats, dogs and is housebroken! Rayne is looking for her furever home to give her attention and play with her! Rayne is a very sweet girl who has shown us she knows how to sit, loves treats, play with toys, very patient and loves to be brushed. Rayne walks great on a leash and doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter! Rayne did great for her bath and exam where she weighs in at 65.5 lbs.
Cooper came to us as a stray so our knowledge about him is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Copper is a 1-year-old, intact male Terrier Mix. Copper is a happy boy who loves attention. Copper has shown us he knows how to sit and laydown! Copper loves to play ball and eats up all your attention! Copper walks well on a leash and doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Copper did great for his bath and exam where he weighed in at 44.5lbs
