Four county teams eyeing post-season

DARKE COUNTY- With two weeks left in the regular season, four county teams are in position to advance to the postseason.

In D-VI region 24, Versailles sits at number two and would host a first round game with Milford Center. If the Tigers were to prevail, they would host a second round game.

Also, Tri-Village would welcome Rockford Parkway from the MAC. If the Patriots were to advance, their second round would could go either way. If everything were to fall into place, the Patriots could host a second round game. In all likelihood, the Patriots will be traveling for their second round game but the Panthers will be a challenge.

In D-II Region 28, Ansonia sits in second place behind Marion Local from the MAC.

The Tigers will face a familiar foe in Western Ohio Athletic Conference team Tri-County North, a team the Tigers dropped a 34-0 loss on in a week eight game. A win would guarantee Ansonia a home game in round two.

Bradford would be force to hit the road right away but the Tri-Village Patriots are next on the list before ending the regular season at home with Arcanum. A victory over the Patriots and Arcanum could possibly throw the Railroaders into a first round home game.

With week nine coming Friday, Versailles will hit the road to take on its biggest rival in Coldwater. It’s no secret that there’s no love lost between the two team and the Cavaliers would love nothing more than to knock the Tigers off.

Tri-Village and Bradford will face each other on senior night for the Patriots.

Ansonia will go to Preble Shawnee. The Tigers will look to remain undefeated in their game with the Arrows
