The Darke County Animal Shelter has 2 new dogs available for adoption.
They got the Bordatella and Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines and are heartworm negative, dewormed and microchipped.
The Shelter’s visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. Saturday only by appointment. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331 and you can reach them at 937-547-1645.
Kendra came to us as an owner surrender due to no fault of her own. We are told Kendra is 8-year-old Toy Poodle Mix. Kendra’s owner told us that Kendra has never been around kids or cats but is housebroken and crate trained! We have been told that Kendra loves treats and to cuddle. Kendra is very scared here at the shelter and will need time to warm up but is a super sweet gal. Kendra doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter, but we do ask that if you do have another dog that you bring them in to do a meet and greet! Kendra did great for her exam where she weighs in at 6.4 lbs.Baxter came to us as an owner surrender due to no fault of his own. We are told Baxter is a 6-month-old intact male German Shepherd Mix. Baxter’s owner told us that Baxter loves kids, has never been around cats and is working on housetraining. Baxter is a playful puppy, who doesn’t really realize his size when he plays. Baxter loves treats and is learning to walk on a leash. Baxter doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter but we do ask that if you do have another dog that you bring them in to do a meet and greet! Baxter did great for his exam where he weighs in at 47.4 lbs.
