Norma Jane Delk age 85 of Arcanum, passed away at 5:50 am Monday, November 13, 2023, at her residence.
Norma was born October 22, 1938, in Dayton to the late Ralph S. & Esther I. (Ross) Rich. In addition to her parents, Norma was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin C. Delk on October 9, 2013, whom she married June 30, 1956; son, Bradley Delk; brother, Donald Rich; and sister-in-law, Mary Delk.
Norma is survived by her children, Bruce & Lori Delk of Arcanum and Becky & Mike Boone of Arcanum; grandchildren, Eric & Greta Bowman, Erika Bowman, Heather & Steven Chavez, Holly & Josh Anderson, Mitchell & Christine Delk, Spencer Delk and Micah Delk; step grandchildren, Jason & Emily Boone and Justin Boone; great grandchildren, Marlee Chavez, Abbigale Bowman, Maverick Chavez, Nevaeh Delk, Blayze Delk, Maria Chavez, Elijah Tucker, Gabriel Anderson, Kiera Anderson and Jaxson Anderson; step great grandchildren, Zoe Boone and Carter Boone; step great-great grandchildren, Tobin Boone and Braxson Boone; in-laws, Gloria Rich of Arcanum, Gary Delk of South Carolina, Kermit & Bernie Delk of Springfield and David & Beverly Delk of Arcanum; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Norma was a 1956 graduate of Arcanum High School. Norma cooked at Franklin Monroe Schools for 7 years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Ithaca. Norma enjoyed traveling, camping, auctions, sewing, knitting, crafts, reading and most importantly spending time with her grand kids.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home with Pastors Coleen Beasecker and Marla Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice in Greenville.
