Jamie did not speak any English and was soon met by another resident of the house, now known to PO as Jesus Ayala. Jesus did not speak any English as well but they were able to get an interpreter on the phone. The interpreter on the phone, now known to PO as Brenda Vazquez Ayala, told him there was someone in the house seriously injured. Jesus and Jamie let PO into the residence where PO searched the house for the victim. While searching the house PO located a resident, now known to him as Calixto (Alex) Gomez, in his bed with another resident, Pedro Gutierrez, standing near him. They could not speak any English either so PO continued my search of the house. In the kitchen, near the back door, PO located the victim, known to him as Jose Ayala. Jose had blood on his arms and chest and appeared to have trouble breathing. When Jose did breath PO noticed an internal organ pushing through a gash on his chest, just below his sternum. in PO’s observation it appeared Jose had been stabbed with a knife like object. PO kept Jose in place and provided aid until Greenville Township Rescue arrived on scene. From prior dealings with Jose PO know his English is limited and he could not answer who had caused his injuries. Jose was transported from the scene and later was transported to Miami Valley Hospital. While Jose was being treated police started to locate all the residents in the house. During this time a neighbor, known to PO as Daniel Delgado, arrived on scene. Daniel works with Jose, Pedro, Jesus, Calixto, and Jamie. Daniel is also able to translate Spanish to English. Daniel spoke with Jamie about this incident. was able to interpret that Pedro had stabbed Jose with a knife like object. When Daniel asked Pedro about the stabbing he denied knowing anything about it. Soon after Brenda arrived on scene with her boyfriend, Eduardo Delgado. Eduardo stated he was the primary renter to the property, and sublets it out to Jamie, Calixto, Pedro, Jose, and Jesus. Pedro would not tell Daniel any information. A PO got consent to search from the subjects living at the residence, including Pedro. Pedro was detained and placed in the back of a Greenville Police Cruiser. Jose Anglero interpreted the consent to search form to Pedro, Jesus, Calixto, Eduardo and Jamie. A Detective arrived and processed the scene. While the scene was being processed police was informed by Jamie (through Daniel) that prior to the fight Pedro had gotten into a verbal altercation with Jose. During the argument it looked like Pedro followed Jose into the kitchen and stabbed him with what Jamie believed was a knife. PO transported Jamie back to the Greenville PD where he was given an interpreter, Jose Anglero. The interpreter offered to have a consular contacted on Pedro’s behalf around 6:35 AM. Pedro declined to have his consulate notified. Pedro stated he drank a lot of alcohol and did not remember this incident. Pedro was arrested for felonious assault with a deadly weapon.
