Effective January 1, 2026, for reasons of safety and distractions to drivers on the roundabout at the fountain in downtown Greenville, there are to be no more signs to be posted anywhere on the islands surrounding the circle downtown.
(To do so previously, required a permit and guidelines were to be followed; however, these sign permits will no longer be issued and any signs placed in these areas will be removed.) Signs in these areas are now prohibited.
Any protestors/demonstrators may conduct their activities on the public concrete sidewalk areas around the circle, at the front of the buildings, but are to refrain from being out on the islands surrounding the circle.
