Adopt-A-Tree program now live

The recent Tornado destroyed or damaged about 80% of the trees in Greenville’s wonderful parks and many trees at the Greenville-Union Cemetery.

Zechar-Bailey Funeral Home is heading up an effort for tree donations. They now have everything approved with the city and are ready to work on getting the park back to the beautiful place that we all remember.

Donations can be dropped off at the funeral home or they will come and pick them up if needed

All donations will be tax-deductible and are payable to Y.O.L.O. Inc. of Darke County, a 501 C3 recipient.

Trees will be purchased in bulk by the City of Greenville and the types of trees will be determined by a professional arborist. There will be no plaques placed at the trees but there will be a permanent donor plaque placed in the park with all the donors listed. Tree planting will begin in early fall.
