I have spoken to the County Engineer, ODOT Officials and Capt. of Road Patrol on the status of Road Conditions. The blowing and drifting snow on the roadways is making it difficult for crews to keep roads consistently clear. Roadways around the county, including some State Routes, are having large areas of ice which have resulted in a few crashes and slide offs today. There is an active injury crash on US 36 East as I write this update.
The Level 2 will remain in effect through this evening. We are hoping the wind will be reduced this evening so the roads can be effectively cleared.
