Linda M. Best, age 74 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 2:18 AM Tuesday June 4, 2024, at the Miami Valley Hospital Dayton, Ohio. Linda was born July 18, 1949, in Piqua, Ohio and the daughter of the late Ray and Ethel (Barga) Horner.
She was retired as office manager at the St. John Lutheran Church of Greenville, a position she held for 17 years.
Linda was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge, all of Greenville. In her spare time, Linda enjoyed playing golf, bowling and working with her flowers and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sister-in-law Don Horner and Kenneth and Phyllis Horner.
Linda is survived by her husband Roger Best of Greenville. They were married April 28, 1979. Also, her children Elizabeth A. Best of Somerset, KY and Alex Best of Greenville; grandchildren Tristan Benadum and Trinity Benadum; brother and sisters-in-law Jack & Gloria Horner and Pauline Horner all of Greenville; sister and brother-in-law Jean and Dave Mogle of New Madison as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Per Linda’s request, a Private Graveside Service will be held at the convenience of the family in the Abbottsville Cemetery with Pastor Patti LeFever Morlock officiating. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be given to the St. John Lutheran Church 7418 State Route 121 Greenville, Ohio, 45331 or the VFW Auxiliary 219 N. Ohio Street Greenville, Ohio, 45331.
