The 2024 Darke County Jr Fair Royalties are crowned!

On Tuesday, July 9 the Radiant Lighthouse was host of the 2024 Darke County Fair Royality Pageant.

8 contestants competed for the title Queen and King: Grace Borhers (Versailles FFA), Amelia Price (Kountry Kids), Sophia Aultman (Ansonia FFA), Megan Wood (Odds N’ Ends), Margret McGlinch (Versailles FFA), Allee Grimme (Versailles Busy Beavers), olin Batten (Versailles FFA) and Daxton Harter (Blue Angles).

The jury judged the contestants based on their activities/involvements, poise and personality, personal appearance and an essay.

At the end, the Jury decided that Sophia Aultman and Colin Batten scored the highest and crowned them Queen and King.

Sophia Aultman became Queen exactly 25 years after her dad was Fair King in 1999. Aultman is currently serving on the Jr. Fair Board.

Batten is currently the chapter president for the Versailles FFA.

First runners-up are Grace Borchers and Daxton Harter, second runner-up is Margret (Maggie) McGlinch and third runner-up is Amelia Price.
