Theft (not in progress)

On July 18th, 2024, at approximately 10:57 PM police was dispatched to 112 Winchester Avenue in reference to a stolen handgun. Police spoke to the complainant Ralph Mccreery who stated that his pink Hi-Point. 380 handgun was stolen. Ralph believes this occurred sometime on July 15th, 2024, and that his son Joseph Mccreery had stolen it from his 2007 Chevy. Ralph last remembers the weapon being in the center console of the vehicle. Ralph did not know the serial number for the weapon. He stated he bought the weapon from his ex-girlfriend Kendra Kreitzer (Kendra Greek) l to 2 years ago. PO asked Ralph if he could get ahold of Kendra, he advised he could not be due to her having a CPO against him. He does not have a phone number either and believes she now lives in New Pittsburg, Indiana. Ralph stated that Kendra had purchased the weapon from Didier Home & Hardware in Union City, Indiana. When asking Ralph if he could fill out a witness statement and a victim’s rights form, he became upset and refused to cooperate. Ralph recently filed for a CPO against his son Joseph which was served to him on 7/18/2024. On July 19th, 2024, A Sgt made contact with Ralph. Ralph informed the Sgt. that he spoke to his friend Chris Marshall who received a message from Rual Dean on Facebook Messenger. The message from Raul to Chris was a photo of Raul with the stolen weapon. The photo has since been deleted according to Ralph. The Sgt. spoke to Chris who informed the Sgt. that he was unable to get the photos back. PO contacted Didier Home & Hardware who advised they will have to wait until July 23rd for a manager to get access to the ATF Form 4473 for the supposed stolen firearm. PO will follow-up with this case when more evidence is available. PO will enter the weapon into LEADS/NCIC when more information on the firearm is available.

Animal Problem

On July 19, 2024, police was dispatched to the 400-block of Martin Street in reference to a dog running at large in the 200-block of Riffle Avenue. PO spoke to the complainant, Madison Pitman. Madison advised she was walking with her brother, Jonathan Paris in the area of Eleventh Street and Riffle Avenue where they noticed a black poodle in the yard at 201 Riffle Avenue. The poodle jumped the fence at 201 Riffle Avenue and ran after Jonathan. The poodle knocked Jonathan over pushing him into the ground, causing scrapes and abrasions to his forearm, side, and stomach. Jonathan was transported to the hospital by Greenville Township Rescue Squad. PO spoke with the owner of the poodle at 201 Riffle Avenue, who was found to be Brenda Johnson. Brenda advised there was a juvenile in the backyard, allegedly watching the poodle. PO soon met Jonathan at the hospital, where he spoke to his mother, Jaclyn Pitman. Jaclyn did not wish to file charges and did not need a report for the dog knocking over her son. Brenda was warned for dog at large.

Drugs

On July 21st, 2024, at approximately 3:02 PM police was dispatched to 114 Autumn Lane on an overdose. PO spoke with Lloyd Price who notified him that his son-in-law Matthew Baker was unresponsive. Lloyd also advised PO that Matthew had overdosed the night before. PO observed Matthew laying on the bed in a back bedroom unresponsive with snoring respirations. Greenville Rescue administered Narcan to Matthew. Matthew became semi responsive but was still not coherent. Greenville Rescue transported Matthew to Wayne Hospital. PO also spoke with Rebecca Baker and Kaitlyn Crowe who stated that they last spoke with Matthew at 4:30 AM this morning and he had been in the bedroom since then. Lloyd stated that Matthew does not reside there and had only been visiting for three days. Lloyd gave officers consent to search the room where Matthew was found. A PO located a brown wallet where Matthew was laying. The PO located a plastic baggie with a white, unknown substance inside the wallet. Matthew’s ID was also in the wallet. The unknown substance was placed into property at the Greenville Police department and will be sent to the lab for testing. A medical release form was completed and submitted to the hospital. Due to Matthew’s state when he was transported to the hospital police was unable to speak with him. Matthew is not on probation through Darke County Adult Probation however, It is unknown if he is on probation through another county. Charges are pending lab results. On July 22nd, 2024, at approximately 11:51 AM police was dispatched to 122 West Main Street, Greenville Police Department on a report of a missing license plate. PO spoke with Matthew Skidmore, employee at Continental Carbonics. Matthew advised that a trailer had returned without the license plate and was unsure where or when it went missing. Matthew stated that they have multiple vendors that have their trailers and he is unsure of what vendor had the trailer last and was also unsure of where the trailer had been last. The missing license plate is registered out of Oklahoma. Matthew filled out a Statement and Victims Rights form on behalf of Continental Carbonics. Dispatch entered the license plate into LEADS/NCIC as missing/stolen. At this time it is unknown where the license plate went missing and there are no other leads in this case. Nothing further.
