Cathy S. Pence, 70 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Monday August 12, 2024 at 11:45 AM at EverHeart Hospice Care Center. Cathy was born January 18, 1954, the daughter of the late Betty R. Best and Robert E. Best.
Cathy retired from GTI with over 30 years of service; she loved her cats and taking care of her friends animals when they needed her; she loved the Cincinnati Bengals; she was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and co-worker; her pride and joy were her grandkids and great grandchildren and she rarely missed one of their sporting events.
Cathy is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather; and her stepbrother Joe Best.
Cathy is survived by her daughter, Cherri Ellis (Chris Puckett); her grandchildren, Luke William Colantone (Mariya), Kennah Jade Wolfe (Derrick), Nolan Daniel Ellis, Noah Lee Ellis, Cooper William Price, Connor Andrew Price; her great grandchildren, Theo Jeffrey Wolfe, and Josephine Jade Wolfe on the way; and her special friends, Kara and Don Brickler, Stacy Hudson, Sharon Robbins, Millie Holsapple, Kim Bingham, Terri and Monty Clemons, Diane Ogdon, Liz McMahon, Kathy Fantasia, and Pam Harmeson.
A celebration of Cathy’s life will be held by the family at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice, the Cancer Association of Darke County, or the Darke County Humane Society.
