The GHS Tennis Team traveled to St. Mary’s on Monday to face the Roughriders. The match ended with a 4-1 victory for the Wave.
At 1st singles, sophomore Riley Capasso defeated junior Peyton Wilson 6-4, 6-0.
At 2nd singles, Junior Maddie Lance defeated junior Lilly Hernandez 6-1, 6-1.
At 3rd singles, sophomore Sienna Gilman defeated senior Kelly Imwalle 6-2, 6-3.
In doubles action the 1st doubles team of Meadow Murphy (10) and Haylee Shuttleworth (12) defeated Kenzie Behr (9) and Maylee Fischbach (9) 6-2, 6-0.
The 2nd doubles team of Charlie Pope (12) and Kirsten Horn (10) lost a hard fought battle against Logan Henschen (11) and Delanni Wilker (11) splitting sets 7-5, 4-6 and losing the tie-breaker.
