The Lady Wave Tennis Team lost a close match Tuesday evening with a final score of 3-2 against the Troy Trojans.
At 1st Singles Riley Capasso (10) was defeated by Nina Short (11) 6-2, 6-4. “I was really proud of Riley and how well she hung in there with such a strong opponent.”
At 2nd Singles Maddie Lance (11) came out on top with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Calista Hicks (12).
At 3rd Singles Sienna Gilman (10) defeated Kimber Connors (10) 6-4, 6-2.
“Maddie and Sienna had a great night! Both of them were very focused and played a smart game.”
In doubles action the 1st Doubles Team of Meadow Murphy (10) and Charlie Pope (12) was defeated by Izzy Lutz (10) and Maile Rombuger (10) 6-3, 6-3.
The 2nd Doubles Team of Kirsten Horn (10) and Adele Strunks (12) was defeated by Savannah Gibson (11) and Allison Straughn (11) 6-1, 6-3.
