DAYTON, Ohio – Solvita donors have a chance to win tickets to the Ohio State vs. Michigan game. Enter the drawing by registering to donate at the eighth annual Steve Knapke Memorial Blood Drive Monday, Sept. 16 from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Versailles Knights of Columbus Hall, 8440 state Route 47.

Schedule a blood donation with Solvita (formerly Community Blood Center) on the Donor Time app, by calling (937) 461-3220, or at www.donortime.com.

Steve Knapke became a dedicated platelet donor after surviving a car crash in 1988 caused by an impaired truck driver. He made 81 lifetime donations before another accident in 2016, again caused by an impaired driver, took his life and seriously injured his wife, Lois. The family has co-sponsored the blood drive with the Versailles Poultry Days Committee since 2017 to continue his legacy of helping save lives.

Everyone who registers to donate Aug. 30 through Sept. 28 at any Solvita blood drive is automatically entered in the drawing to win two tickets to the Ohio State vs. Michigan game Nov. 30 in Columbus. Registered donors also receive the Solvita one-year anniversary t-shirt.

You can save time while helping save lives by using “DonorXPress” to complete the donor questionnaire before arriving at a blood drive. Find DonorXPress on the Donor Time App or at www.solvita.org/donorxpress.
