Joyce Evelyn Printz Baldwin

November 18, 1940 — September 8, 2024

Joyce Evelyn Printz Baldwin, 83, of Zanesville, Ohio, formerly of Union City, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at her home.

She was born on November 18, 1940, in Darke County, to the late Vernon and Lucille (Hiestand) McCullough.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Printz, whom she married on November 1, 1968, and who passed away on November 11, 2018; a stillborn brother, Gerald McCullough; her daughter, Ronda Thompson, her grandson, Nicholas Batten; and her brother-in-law, Jack Lecklider.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Ronald Baldwin of Zanesville, her children, James (Laura) Batten Greenville Ohio, Elaine (John) Kuhbander Zanesville, Scott (Jennifer) Batten of Shelbyville, Indiana, and William (Patricia) Printz of Ft Myers, Florida; her grandchildren, Zachary (Morgan) Batten, Gabriel Batten, Michael Thompson, Rhiannon (Mikel) Brocious, Joshua (Jessica) Kuhbander, Jill (Andrew) Detrick, Jessica (Joshua) Newell, William (Ashley) Printz, James (Tara) Printz, Timothy (Zoe) Printz, Kevin Printz, Jacob Batten, Allison Batten and 26 great grandchildren; her sister, Sharon (Bob) Anderson of Greenville; and her nephew, Tracy Sease and niece, Tammy Huwer.

Joyce was a 1958 graduate of Ansonia High School. She worked as a secretary for Cindy Pike’s office in the courthouse for over 20 years. Her family was her pride and joy. As a wife, mother, and grandmother, Joyce loved all the duties associated with her roles. She enjoyed spending time in the garden: canning and freezing the produce she grew. Joyce was quite the seamstress. She loved sewing and has even made a few 3-piece suits for her family. Nothing was too much for Joyce. It was not uncommon for her to help with the family butchering and preparing and wrapping the meat.

She was a faithful woman and currently was a member of Westwood Baptist Church and formerly a member of Teegarden Congregational Christian Church. She supported various missionary works and was an avid support of the Darke County Youth for Christ.

A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastors Eric Knight and Seth Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.
