On Saturday, November 16, 2024, the Darke County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Dollar General in Ansonia regarding a suspected robbery.
Initial investigation revealed an unknown male walked into Ansonia’s Dollar General showing a handgun to the cashier. The male demanded that the cashier open the cash register and remove the money from the drawer.
The suspect fled on foot to the west and was last seen entering the trailer park next to the store.
The suspect was described as a 5’4” black male wearing a dark hooded zip-up jacket, blue jeans, and black tennis shoes with white on them.
The Darke County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help from the citizens to identify the male suspect. Contact the Sheriff’s Office at 937-548-2020 with any leads.
