The Darke County Animal Shelter has 5 new dogs available for adoption.
They got the Bordatella and Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines and are heartworm negative, dewormed and microchipped.
The Shelter’s visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. Saturday only by appointment. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331 and you can reach them at 937-547-1645
Sasha came to us as an owner surrender at no fault of her own, her owners were moving and could not take her with them. We are told Sasha is 9-month-old female Shepherd Mix. Sasha’s owner told us that Sasha is great with kids, dogs and is working on house breaking. Sasha has never been around cats. Sasha will soak up all the attention you want to give her. Sasha has shown us she loves treats. Sasha doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter! Sasha did great for her exam where she weighs in at 37lbs. Chief came to us as an owner surrender at no fault of his own, his owner is having health problems and could not keep him. We are told Chief is a 2-year-old intact male German Shelter Mix. Chief’s owner told us that he is good with kids, female dogs and housetrained. Chief is not a fan of cats. Chief has shown us he loves treats! Chief is learning how to walk on a leash. Chief doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter! Chief did good for his exam where he weighs in at 62 lbs.Lolly came to us as a stray so our knowledge about her is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Lolly a 2-year-old female Irish Wolfhound Mix. Lolly has shown us that she knows how sit, loves to play and like treats. Lolly learning to walk on a leash and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Lolly did great for her exam where she weighs in at 46 lbs.Andy came to us as an owner surrender. We are told Andy is 1 1/2-year-old intact male Heeler Mix. Andy’s owners told us that he is great with kids, cats, dogs and crate trained. Andy has only ever been an outside dog. Andy doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter! Andy has shown us that he loves treats and attention. Andy did great for his exam where he weighs in at 37.9lbs. Bridget came to us as a stray, so our knowledge is very limited and only to what we have observed. We believe Bridget is a 5 -year-old female Heeler Mix. Bridget has shown us she loves treats. Bridget sweet girl who loves attention and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Bridget did great for her exam where she weighs in at 49 lbs.
