DCCA presents award-winning singer at the Coffee Pot

Darke County Center for the Arts will present an intimate evening of song when Celtic Album of the Year-winner Siusan O’Rourke performs at The Coffee Pot in Greenville on Thursday, December 5. Highly recognized for her performance of and contributions to Irish music, O’Rourke is now touring in support of her newest project, a rootsy blues CD that will be released soon. “Siusan O’Rourke possesses an astounding voice, and is a highly accomplished songwriter with her own brand of roots music,” explained David Warner, DCCA Artistic Director of Performing Arts. “Her rare deep rich alto envelops audiences with its expressive sound, and leaves them remembering her music long after the last song is sung,” Mr. Warner concluded.

DCCA’s Coffee House Series was created to present first-rate performing artists in small comfortable venues where food and drink are also available, all at an affordable cost. Sponsors for the series are Steve and Eileen Litchfield and SISCO. Funding assistance for all DCCA presentations is provided by DCCA membership contributions and Darke County Endowment for the Arts. The Ohio Arts Council helps fund this program with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans. Additionally, DCCA receivesfunding from Harry D. and Esther Stephens Memorial, Inc., Lydia E. Schaurer Memorial Trust Fund, Ketrow Foundation, and the John R. and Miriam H. Knick Fund of Darke County Foundation.
