Greenwave Varsity Bowling teams beat Fairborn

The Greenwave Varsity bowling teams traveled to Fairborn on Thursday, December 19.

The girls jumped out to an early lead of almost 100 pins bowling a great first game.  The girls fell off a bit in the 2nd game giving up 25 pins.  It came down to the bakers.  Fairborn gained back another 35 pins in baker number 1.  It came down to the last 2 frames with Trinity Bowling bowling a strike setting up Addy Arnett for the 10th frame.  Addy bowled the first 2 strikes and Fairborn’s girl went 9 – which secured the win.

The girls were led by Trinity Bowling with a 197 high game and a 369 high series.

The boys jumped out to an early lead of 76 after game 1.  All of the boys bowled above their average on game 2 to take a lead of 304 pins.  The boys opened up that lead by another 30-50 pins each baker.  The boys had some amazing scores tonight with 2 new personal bests being set.  Luke Kiser got a new PB with a 257.  Michel Thompson set a new PB with a 234.

The boys were led by Luke Kiser with a high game of 257 and a high series of 470.

The Wave bowlers will take a couple of weeks off for the holidays and will come back refreshed to host Piqua at home.
