The Darke County Animal Shelter has 8 new dogs available for adoption.
They got the Bordatella and Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines and are heartworm negative, dewormed and microchipped.
The Shelter’s visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. Saturday only by appointment. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331 and you can reach them at 937-547-1645
Polly came to us as a stray so our knowledge about her is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Polly is a 2-year-old female Mastiff Mix. Polly has shown us that she knows how to sit, attention and treats. Polly learning to walk on a leash and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Polly did great for her nail trim and exam where she weighs in at 72 lbs. Tanner came to us as an owner surrender due to no fault of his own. We have been told Tanner is a 5-year-old intact male Chihuahua Mix. Tanner’s owners told us that he is great with people, dogs, crate trained and housebroken. Tanner is a little shy here at the shelter but does warm up over time. Tanner love to cuddle in your lap. Tanner doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter! Tanner walks well on a leash and did great for his exam where is weighed in at 9 lbs. Gunner came to us as a stray so our knowledge about him is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Gunner is a 4-year-old neutered male Hound Mix. Gunner shown us that he knows how to sit, loves treats and attention. Gunner is learning to walk on a leash and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Gunner did great for his nail trim and exam where he weighs in at 61 lbs. Patty came to us as a stray so our knowledge about her is very limited and what we do know, is only from what we have observed. We believe Patty is a 2-year-old, female Mastiff Mix. Patty has shown us she knows how to sit and loves treats. Patty is learning to walks on a leash and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Patty did great for her nail trim and exam where she weighed in at 76 lbs. Macy came to us as a stray so our knowledge about her is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Macy a 1-year-old female Husky Mix. Macy has shown us that she loves to play ball and eat treats. Macy learning to walk on a leash and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Macy did great for her exam where she weighs in at 49 lbs.Dobby came to us as an owner surrender due to no fault of his own. We have been told Dobby is a 1-year-old intact male Pug Mix. Dobby’s owners told us that he is great with people, dogs, crate trained and housebroken. Dobby is very excited to meet new people! Dobby has shown us he loves to play, eat treats and soak up all your attention! Dobby doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter! Dobby walks well on a leash and did great for his exam where is weighed in at 21 lbs. Daisy came to us as a stray so our knowledge about her is very limited and only to what we have observed. We believe Daisy is a 6-year-old female Lab Mix. Daisy is learning to walk on leash and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Daisy is sweeter than pie! Daisy loves attention and will be you best friend with just a few treats. Daisy showed us that she knows how to sit and shake. Daisy did great for her exam where she weighed in at 74 lbs. Dart came to us as a stray so our knowledge about him is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Dart is a 1-year-old male Bored Collie Mix. Dart is a very sweet boy who love attention. Dart has shown us he loves treat. Dart did great for nail trim and exam where he weighs in at 20 lbs.
