Michael W. “Mike” Wright, age 83 of Ansonia, Ohio passed away at Wayne Health Care in Greenville, Ohio on Monday, February 3, 2025. Mike was born in Wayne Township, Ohio on July 13, 1941, the son of the late Harry and Florence (Klenk) Wright.
In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his wife of nearly 60 years, Sharon (McKee) Wright, whom he married on March 1, 1964.
Mike is survived by his sons, Mark (Melissa) Wright of Arcanum, and Jason (Rachelle) Wright of Greenville; his grandchildren, Andrew (Allison) Wright, Micaela (Micah) Light, Joshua (Maggie) Wright, Nathan Wright, Olivia (Alex) Davidson, Emily (Eyan) Hackler, Brady Wright and Trevor Wright; his great grandchildren, Coby, Brooks, Brooklyn and Owen; his sister, Barbara (Melvin) Hocker, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Mike is a 1960 graduate of Ansonia High School. He is a lifetime member of the Ansonia First Church of God where for years, he enjoyed serving as an usher. After high school, Mike served his country in the Ohio National Guard. Mike spent his entire career working at Master Industries in Ansonia Ohio. For many years he enjoyed playing church league basketball, softball, and dart ball. Mike’s hobbies included, enjoying antique tractors and the Farm Power of the Past, fishing with family, and attending the many events of his children and grandchildren over the years.
Mike’s family will receive guests from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the Ansonia First Church of God, 750 South Main Street, Ansonia, Ohio.
A Celebration of Mike’s life will take place at 10 AM on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the church with Pastor Alan Leach officiating.
