Greenwave Varsity Bowling: Girls beat West Carrollton, Boys lose

The Greenwave Varsity bowlers traveled down to West Carrollton for an away match.

The girls jumped out to an early, dominant lead of 226 pins.  The girls were firing on all cylinders on game 2 as they extended that lead by almost another 90 pins.  The 1st baker was really close and West Carrollton edged out the girls by 1 pin, but the girls came back swinging in the 2nd baker winning it by almost 40 pins.

The girls were led by Addy Arnett with a 183 high game and a 361 high series.

The boys got off to an average start, but West Carrollton came out swinging.

The boys were down by 161 pins after game 1.  The boys weren’t ready to give up, they came back fighting in game 2 knocking that deficit down to just 36 pins. The boys kept the fire alive cutting that lead to just 18 after the first baker.  The game came down to the last few frames.  Greenville was ahead but West Carrollton rallied to get the last 4 strikes.  While Greenville won the 2nd baker, it was only by 7 pins leaving the Wave just a little over a spare out of the win.  The boys shot their 3rd highest game of the year tonight to get themselves back in the match.

The boys were led by Conner Leas with a 227 high game and Luke Kiser had the high series with a 393.

The teams will travel to Piqua on Tuesday for their last away match of the season.
