Robert Vehorn

January 30, 1947 — February 4, 2025

Robert “Bob” M. Vehorn, age 78, of Arcanum, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at UC Health West Chester Hospital. 

He was born on January 30, 1947 in Celina, Ohio to the late Elmer and Pauline (Wenning) Vehorn. 

In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his son, Brent Perry; and siblings, Donald “Donnie” Vehorn, Elaine Barhorst, Janet Muhlenkamp, and Michael Vehorn. 

Those left to cherish Bob’s memory include his loving wife of 35 years, Linda Vehorn of Arcanum; daughters, Dawn King of Union, Ohio, Shannon (Andrew) Pierce of Dublin, Ohio, and Abbie Drees of Sidney, Ohio; sons, Jason Perry of Arcanum and Stephen (Christine) Perry of Chesapeake, Virginia; grandchildren, Ashley (Michael) Rogers, Adam (Beth) King, Michael (Kim) Perry, Megan King, Zachary (Sierra) Perry, Dakota (Shae) Roberts, Stephen Perry, Jr., Julianna (Sebastiane) Perry, Clayton (Annie) Cahoon, Meighan Cahoon, Tayler Pierce, Tristin Pierce, Desean White, Kameron Hudgins, and Ava Hudgins; 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Barb (Clarence) Cecil, Pam Ritchie, Diane Vehorn, Peg (Brad) Hickey, and Dave Vehorn; brothers-in-law, Jim Muhlenkamp and Matt Barhorst; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends; and his favorite dogs, Penny, Susie, and Rocky.

Bob graduated from Marion Local High School. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps., serving during the Vietnam Era. Bob retired from Minster Machine Co. as a stockkeeper in 2009, where he worked for 43 years. He belonged to the American Legion Post #446 in Anna, OH, American Legion Post #140 in Greenville, AmVets Post #66 of Covington, OH, Moose Lodge #329 of Greenville, and Eagles #2177 of Greenville. He loved camping with his sisters, Barb and Pam, Marg and Ray Endicott, and Faith and Tom Caden. Bob loved to fish with his buddies and attend his grandchildren’s sporting events. He loved to go to Steve’s to visit and take him fishing. He also enjoyed going to Las Vegas and going to the shows. Bob and Linda attended what was formerly called EUM Church but now is Reverent Church. He always volunteered at Fish Food Bank. 

A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM- 12:30 PM on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus. 

A funeral service will follow the visitation at 12:30 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
