Paul Stewart Robbins Jr.

March 13, 1943 – February 9, 2025

Paul S. Robbins Jr., age 81, of New Madison, Ohio, passed away at his residence, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, February 9, 2025. Paul was born on March 13, 1943, in Randolph County, Indiana to the late Paul and Winifred (Dalzell) Robbins.

Paul is survived by his loving wife Dixie (Ritz) Robbins whom he married on July 7, 1973; his children, Kelly (Greg) Hampton, Kathryn (Gerald) Osborne, John (Sarah) Robbins and Joshua Robbins; his grandchildren, Courtney (Todd) Struble, Paige (Kolton Mussoni) Hampton, Zane Osborne, Blake Hampton, Wesley Osborne, Brianna Fox, Blaze Quillen, Bianca Quillen, Bella Quillen, Henry Robbins and Aiden Robbins; his great grandsons, Isaac Paul and Tommy Bennett Struble; his siblings, Linda (Denny) Miller, Darlene DeCamp, Duane (Sharon) Robbins; his sister in law, Jill Riegle and his brother in law, Ralph (Nancy) Ritz, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his great grandchildren, Aspen and Alder Struble; his brother-in-law, Donnie DeCamp along with the brothers and sisters in law he gained by marrying Dixie, and nephews Loni Walters, and Jackie Greer.

First and foremost, Paul will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father and papaw, who was a protector and provider. Paul was a 1962 graduate of Westmont High School and was the epitome of someone who was “community minded”. Over the years, Paul served the Hollansburg Fire Department, the Liberty Local Little League, the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, the Kiwanis, The Tri-Village Local School Board and Operation Round Up REA. Paul was awarded the Presidential Volunteer Award. Paul had many jobs over the years, some of the most noteworthy being; assisting in the development of new seed hybrids for Downing Foundation Seeds and his work as Facilities Coordinator for Tri-Village Local Schools. Paul’s hobbies included gardening, woodworking and attending the many activities of his children and grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, February 14, 2025, at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Tony Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Palestine Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
