We kicked off National Reading Month with a fun and educational stroll through Darke County Park’s Maple Tour on Saturday with our LIGHT Project participants!
To kick off the day, we began by reading How to Tap a Maple, a book written and graciously shared with us by Stephanie Mulligan. It was the perfect way to introduce the adventure ahead!
With Connor and Christy leading the way, we explored the trails, making stops along the way to learn about the maple syrup making process.
It truly takes a community to create experiences like this for our outdoor literacy program.
A huge thank you to McSea Books for the books and to Darke County Parks for giving us an unforgettable tour!
