
Darke County Center for the Arts will close their 2024-2025 Family Theatre Series by presenting one of the top kids’ bands performing today, Hot Peas ‘n’ Butter. The show takes place on Sunday, March 16 at Henry St. Clair Memorial Hall in Greenville. “This group’s joyous energy reaches out to the audience, and is returned in kind, making for an unforgettable experience for all concerned,” explained David Warner, DCCA’s Artistic Director of Performing Arts. “They perform lively, interactive roots music that will captivate audiences of all ages,” he concluded.
Led by dynamic performer Danny Lapidus, Hot Peas ‘n’ Butter has produced eight award-winning albums and over 2.1 million views of their catchy music videos for Sesame Street and Nickolodeon. This show is described as a colorful celebration of music and culture that leaves everyone smiling which was profiled in The New York Times as “a serving that will please all musical appetites.” The music performed spans the globe, and is a mix of bluegrass, country, rock, jazz and traditional Latin tunes that not only brings audiences to their feet but also produces feelings of joy that linger long after the concert ends.
