Martha Lou Eikenbery, age 91 of New Paris, Ohio passed away at 8:33 PM Monday August 16, 2021 at her residence. Martha was born March 12, 1930 in Preble County Ohio and the daughter of the late William and Gladys (Shock) Morgan.
She retired in 1989 as a bookkeeper having worked at Farmers State Bank, Vortex Oil & Gas Company of Richmond, Indiana and lastly 12 years with Greenville Concrete. Martha attended the Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren and loved spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking and sitting on her patio looking at her flowers.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Larry B. “Jake” Eikenbery October 9, 2011. Also a brother as an infant and her sister-in-law Gerri Morgan.
Martha is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Larry A. and Christine Eikenbery of Hollansburg; grandchildren Brandy (Ray) Wilson, Ashlee Curtner and Larry R. (Angela) Eikenbery; great grandchildren Gavin Hess, Jeighla Hess, Accalia Benton, Arwen Benton, Brynlee Benton, RJ Wilson, Jazimyne Meade, Jayden Curtner, Josalyn Curtner and Jonah Curtner; brother Leonard Morgan of New Paris: nephews Bill (Peggy) Morgan, Len (Holli) Morgan and Rob (Bonnie) Morgan and a very special friend Mary Straszheim
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday August 20, 2021 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Tony Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenmound Cemetery New Madison, Ohio. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to EverHeart Hospice of Darke County or the Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren.
