Darke County Parks is excited to announce that Prairie Days will return this year. The festival will take place during the last weekend of September. This FREE event focuses on the prairie way of life in and around 1780-1810 and will feature many crafts, games and trades of the time period.
Each year, this event requires the hard work of many volunteers to make everything come together. DCP is in need of volunteers for this year’s event. Volunteers will be needed to assist with several activities such as pioneer Olympics, rope making and sorghum press demonstrations, as well as with several crafts that will be offered; kites, candle dipping, paper quilts, wind socks, and pioneer hats. If you have an interest in volunteering, please call the nature center at 937-548-0165 to sign up or visit www. http://www.darkecountyparks.org/prairie-days.
DCP is also looking for vendors for Prairie Days. If you would like to apply please contact us at info@darkecountyparks.org
