The Darke County Animal Shelter has 4 new dogs waiting for their fur-ever homes.
All dogs were given Bordatella, parvo/lepto/distemper vaccines, are dewormed and are heartworm negative. All dogs are microchipped.
The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville OH. 45331. The visiting hours are Monday- Friday 8am- 11:45am and 1pm- 4pm. You can reach the Shelter at 937-547-1645.
Meet Archer! Archer came to us as a stray, so our knowledge of his past is limited to what we’ve observed here at the shelter. We believe he is a 5-year-old, intact Yorkie mix with a gentle and sensitive nature. Archer can be a little shy when meeting new people, but with a bit of patience and kindness, he begins to warm up and show his sweet personality. He’s already shown us that he walks nicely on a leash, making him a great companion for calm strolls. Archer is looking for a loving home where he can feel safe, build confidence, and truly shine. Archer weighs in at 11.5 lbs. and did well for his examSay hello to Chase – a sweet soul looking for love. We believe Chase is a 1-year-old male Lab mix who came to us as a stray. While we don’t know much about his past, what we do know is that he’s one of the sweetest boys you’ll ever meet. Chase can be a little shy at first, but with a little time and patience, he warms up and shows his loving personality. He has already impressed us by knowing how to sit and shake, and he absolutely loves treats. He doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs at the shelter and is currently learning how to walk on a leash. Chase is calm, affectionate, and clearly just wants someone to love—and to be loved in return. He’s ready to start his next chapter with a family who will give him the care and kindness he deserves. Chase did great for his exam where he weighs in at 60.5 lbs.Give a warm welcome to Jack! Jack came to us as a stray, so our knowledge of his past is limited to what we’ve observed here at the shelter. We believe he is a 3-month-old, intact male Catahoula/Terrier mix. Jack is a very sweet and playful puppy who loves attention and treats. He’s full of energy and curiosity, just as a young pup should be! So far, Jack doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Jack is ready to find a loving home where he can grow, learn, and share all his puppy love. Jack did great for his nail trim and exam where he weighed in at 27 lbs.Say hello to Lulu! Lulu an adorable Poodle mix who came to us as a stray. While we don’t know much about her past, we’ve really enjoyed getting to know her during her time here—and she’s truly a sweetheart. We believe Lulu is a 5-year-old female with a gentle and loving nature. Lulu can be a little shy at first, but with a bit of patience, she warms up and shows just how affectionate she is. She’s the kind of dog who would make a perfect lap companion for someone looking for a quiet, loving friend. Lulu loves treat. She is currently learning to walk on a leash and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Lulu is ready to leave her past behind and find a forever home where she can feel safe, loved, and truly thrive. Lulu did great for her nail trim and exam where she weighs in at 13 lbs.
