Rose Mary Ray, age 90, of Greenville passed away at 1:44 pm Saturday, April 18, 2026, at EverHeart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.
Rose Mary was born on November 19, 1935, in Ithaca, Ohio, to the late Cleo & Mary (Black) Fourman. Rose Mary was also preceded in death by her husband, Melvin L. Ray on September 20, 2011, whom she married September 5, 1981; son, Dale Smith; sister, Mildred Niswonger; and brother, Harold Fourman.
Rose Mary is survived by her daughter, Rosa Hill; grandchildren, Mary Ellen Davis and Christopher Paul Hill; great grandchildren, Ava Davis, Michael Davis, Destiny Davis, Nicholas Hill, Christopher Hill, and Serenity Hill; and nephew, Ronald Niswonger.
A private burial will be held in Oak Grove Cemetery in Fort Jefferson at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.zecharbailey.com for the Ray family.
